Highlight

Process Audits in focus:
Various improvements for even easier and more precise execution of audits

With Process Audits, Visual Shop Floor provides the ability to review processes at regular intervals and ensure that all rules, regulations, and standards are being followed. This allows deviations to be identified at an early stage, errors to be prevented, and processes to be kept consistently on the right track.

What’s new?

Consistent multilingualism for audits
From now on, multiple languages can be stored in an audit template. This makes it possible to provide auditors with an optimal user experience while preventing potential misunderstandings caused by language barriers. All questions, descriptions, and checklists can be stored in multiple languages and easily adapted.
Freely definable answers
With freely definable response options, an audit can be tailored even more precisely to the specific use case. The auditor is optimally supported in carrying out the audit through specific response options, and furthermore, a targeted evaluation of the results becomes possible, allowing new insights to be derived.

More features

Data analysis made easy: Multi-line chart also available for model data

The effective value of data largely depends on simple and intuitive visualization. With more than 20 widget types, Visual Shop Floor offers the ability to provide the right visualization for each use case and user group easily and flexibly through role-specific dashboards.

Multi-line chart for model data
It is often important to compare different key figures and metrics and to identify existing correlations. For this purpose, Visual Shop Floor offers the multi-line chart, which makes it possible to combine line, bar, and scatter charts in a single view. With the new version, it is now possible to use the multi-line chart for model data as well, thereby better highlighting correlations in the data stored in Visual Shop Floor. This provides another important feature that gives your employees the optimal visual representation for process monitoring.

Display of raw data
When displaying time series based on model data, the data was previously aggregated automatically into a time interval appropriate for the use case. For example, when displaying a process parameter in the form of a line chart, the measurement values for a week were automatically divided into smaller time units and summarized using a defined aggregation function. In special cases, however, this behavior is not desired because detailed information is not visible. From now on, it is possible to deactivate automatic aggregation and directly visualize the raw data.

Single Sign-On with OpenID Connect

The simple and seamless integration into the existing system landscape has always been a strength of Visual Shop Floor. With the latest release, Visual Shop Floor now also supports authentication via OpenID Connect, providing an additional widely used authentication method in corporate environments alongside integration with Active Directory.

OpenID Connect is based on the proven OAuth 2.0 protocol and not only offers a higher level of security but also improves user experience. With the support of Single Sign-On (SSO), users are given a convenient way to log into Visual Shop Floor.

In addition to enhancing the user experience, this feature also represents another improvement for the simple administration and secure operation of Visual Shop Floor.

License management – Extended metrics for a complete overview

With the addition of further metrics in license management, it is now possible to quickly gain an overview of the current usage. For each user module, the current usage per site is compared with the licensed scope. This makes it possible to quickly identify potential deviations, avoid bottlenecks, and create forward-looking budget planning.

Improvements and bug fixes

Find users by email address

In user management, users could previously only be searched by name. From now on, searching by email address is also supported.

Highlighting missing and incorrect entries in audits

Missing and incorrect entries in an audit were, under certain circumstances, not flagged or only flagged with a delay. This malfunction has been fixed.

Syntax highlighting in pipeline steps

When implementing pipeline steps, the user is supported by syntax highlighting for JavaScript. This makes it possible to identify potential input errors more quickly. Previously, syntax errors were not marked consistently. With the current version, consistent highlighting is ensured.
