Highlight

Multiple status buttons: Enhanced manual input

The State Button Widget in Visual Shop Floor offers a simple and intuitive way for employees to manually record status messages.

With just one click, messages are sent, and a status change is registered. For precise tracking, the current timestamp is automatically recorded. Additionally, status changes can be used as triggers for events, initiating follow-up actions such as sending an email or creating a task. Whether it's reporting machine downtimes, requesting assistance from a supervisor, reporting material shortages, or requesting maintenance work: this simple concept allows for a wide range of practical applications to be efficiently and time-savingly implemented.

With the latest update, the State Button Widget is even more powerful. From now on, multiple status buttons for different production resources can be bundled into a single widget, allowing the status of multiple resources to be managed from a single, central view. The ease of use and improved clarity enhance user-friendliness and further simplify manual data entry in Visual Shop Floor.

More features

Flexible Event Handling: Dynamic attribute assignment for events

Event Handling in Visual Shop Floor is an essential tool for efficiently monitoring and controlling production processes. By defining specific event types, it is possible to capture specific attributes depending on the use case, ensuring a precise description of events. Attributes serve as fundamental elements for data collection. Additionally, the definition of specific data types, such as numbers, text, or drop-down selections, enables simple and intuitive user input and efficient evaluation of the entries.

With the latest update of Visual Shop Floor, the management of event types has become even more flexible: from now on, attributes of already defined event types can be changed and expanded at will. This means that the definition of event types can still be modified even after events have already been recorded. Event types can thus be flexibly adapted to changing requirements.

This enhancement further increases the flexibility of Event Handling in Visual Shop Floor, providing a solid foundation for efficient workflows and process optimization.

SharePoint Online: Now with Proxy support

Visual Shop Floor has always supported the integration and use of documents in shop floor management. SharePoint, as a widely used solution for collaboration and document management, plays an important role in practice.

With the new release of Visual Shop Floor, a proxy server can now be used as an intermediary between Visual Shop Floor and SharePoint Online services. A proxy server allows for targeted control of communication, particularly when a direct connection is not possible due to security reasons or network topology. This is especially advantageous in complex corporate networks, where servers can only communicate through a proxy.

By enabling the use of an HTTP proxy in combination with SharePoint Online, the flexible use of documents in Visual Shop Floor is further enhanced, ensuring compliance with existing security policies.

Improvements and bug fixes

Saving user roles without description

Previously, user roles could not be saved without a description. From now on, user roles can be saved even without a description.

Access to dashboards from disabled sites

When a site was disabled, the dashboards assigned to that site could still be accessed via a valid link. With the new version of Visual Shop Floor, this is no longer possible.

Adjustment in permission management for audits

If a user captured an image during an audit, they were unable to delete it afterward due to missing permissions. This issue has now been resolved.
